Customer Partnership

We developed QuickStart to help customers come up with a working solution swiftly, implement a pilot situation and evaluate the results in days rather than weeks.

QuickStart means that thankfully the days of a solution provider trying to “shoehorn” an application into your requirements or unnecessarily enforce business changes are over. Our aim is to collaborate with you to provide a solution that works for you.

Our mobile application framework offers you the ability to:

  • Update / Refresh your existing application onto newer hardware or a newer architecture by replicating the look and feel of the existing user interface without an extended development timeframe and any user re-training. This is achieved using our flexible development environment that virtually eliminates the need for any user re-training. Thus containing costs and having a positive long term impact on ROI.
     

  • Develop a new application provide an exact match for your mobile application requirements utilising our mobile application framework. This will enable you to modify the application with relative ease should your business requirements change.
     

  • Due to the shorter timescales the customer will see the benefit of earlier realisation of financial benefits and ROI with minimum investment.

  • Utilise GPS peripherals and/or software to augment an application that may already be in place.

  • Leverage mobile computing devices further by using PTT for "always on" communication.

Define your Requirements

In this phase MobileWorxs can work with you to determine the best solution for your business, whether it be a bespoke solution or training for an in house development for a mobile application.

In this phase the implementation approach will be discussed and confirmed. Traditionally this has led people to either a:

  • Big Bang approach

    This can minimize time spent in end user disruption & training, however, in some cases the processes may not be fully defined or stable, it can also be a strain on existing IT resources

    OR:
     

  • Phased approach

    Advantages can include maximisation of resources, and minimizing the load on back office IT technology. Care needs to be taken that if the project is not defined with mobility in mind it could become a never ending saga

There are two levels of this stage:

  • Outline – free of charge prototype.

  • Detailed requirements definition - project based chargeable.

Create Your Solution

MobileWorxs offer a flexible approach to create  the right solution for them.

An overview of the options available is:

  • MobileWorxs develop application for and in consultation with the customer.

  • We develop application in conjunction with a partner – either a hardware fulfillment company or systems integrator.

  • We create an understanding and integrations strategy around the use of GPS and PTT with an existing application.

Should MobileWorxs be involved in the development of the solution, or involved in an advisory capacity, the following will be created in this stage:

  • Completion of detailed solution plan. This will include:

    • Identification and agreement of requirements for the solution

    • Agreed specification of system

    • Agreement on interface to existing systems

    • Definition of hardware requirements

    • Detailed software specification

    • Roles and Responsibilities definition

    • Project plan – timescales and budget

    • Decision on pilot requirements

    • MobileWorxs role in the project

 

 

 

Deploy

Much has been said in recent years about mobile device deployment and ongoing device management. Indeed many mobile deployments have come unstuck on the assumption that rolling out mobile devices is the same as desktop PC's. One of the key advantages of the MobileWorxs framework approach is the ease in which you can implement change after the initial roll out of the project. The changes can be made by the customer, even if MobileWorxs or one of our partners has written the application. This gives the customer much greater flexibility and greatly reduces the time and the cost of implementing change, and allows the application to be modified as the business and its processes evolve.
